New Balance // Lost Saturdays

Back in the day, many a young buck lost their Saturdays on methodically planned pilgrimages to hang-out and visit fabled London streetwear emporiums – to witness, to feel, to worship the clothes, the sneakers, and to hear the music and soak up the vibes.

McFaul+Day devised a Global Social Media campaign that saw New Balance pay homage to those legendary UK meccas, those communal hotspots of 90’s London street culture that are responsible for shaping much of what we are today. The year is 1988, year of the 576 OG, and our friends visit legendary London hangouts: 4 Star General and Bond International on Carnaby Street, Slam City at Neal’s Yard and M-Zone in Croydon (the first UK Stussy distributor).

Results: An authentic 35mm photographic film capture and accordingly treated Instagram film, fed the launch of the New Balance 576OG Pack and raised further brand awareness positioning our client as “A brand with heritage, not a heritage brand”.
